I grew up in Washington DC without my father and this left a profound effect on my life. Raised by a single mom who did everything she could to ensure my survival during some of the most difficult times in my life, I focused on working hard to be the best version of myself. It impacted every area of my life and I have been determined to give to those who need the love, guidance, and mentorship I did not receive when I was young.

 

My passion for teaching, training, and mentoring started in 1998 when I led a youth group at his church in Baltimore, called Boys to Men. This was the beginning of a lifelong mission to help build and develop strong young men. In 2016 this journey led me to Memminger Elementary School where I helped to start the organization he now runs.

I believe in educating our youth, however, I also believe in the importance of building character and want every young person to become the best version of themselves.
